This is quite an extraordinary saddle, dating from around 1905. Of course it has similarities with the Dursley Pedersen suspended saddle, but this is a stand alone version which can be fitted to any suitable safety bicycle of the Edwardian period. The spring loading can be adjusted to suit the weight of the rider. It was restored some years ago to a very high standard, with the frame being re-nickelled, and the cover re-woven beautifully by Tony Colegrave. It is very light for a saddle of this period.
